I honestly don’t think it’s such a bad thing.

I never went to my prom.
It was almost 10 years ago. I hated nearly everyone in my HS and I couldn’t get a date to even save my life. I did not want to waste $100s of dollars on that so called “right of passage” I will bet you that I had about 100x more fun at a dive bar, drinking cheap beer, dancing to shitty music and making out with strange women than to waste my time at a Prom.
